Purpose

Natural systems operate symbiotically. Biochemical elements and processes combine to create new biochemistry, which in turn enables the emergence of even more complex biochemical forms and interactions. Plants, prey, and predators maintain mutual balances by regenerating and limiting each other, and in doing so they make the ecosystem more resilient and diverse — at least when left untouched by human interference.

At a fundamental level, this symbiotic behaviour is rooted in the quantum nature of our universe and extends well beyond our planet's biosphere. The quantum design principles of nature inherently are and result in symmetry, circularity, regeneration, and symbiosis. These principles manifest in dualistic structures, embodying the interconnectedness of opposites. In essence, the unified combinations of active and passive forces, yin and yang, positive and negative polarities, male and female, create far greater potential than what either part could achieve alone.

Historically, human-made systems were not designed with quantum-conscious awareness. Many human-designed systems lack symbiotic dynamics when dualistic structures are applied. For example, legal system concepts like rights and obligations, financial-monetary system concepts such as credits and debits and governance systems that place authority with subjection, operate asymmetrically and are not symbiotic. People tend to favor rights, credits and authority over obligations, debits and subjection. People often use rights, credits and authority to amass even more rights, credits and authority at the cost of their counterparts in society that are to be faced with (more) obligations, debits and subjection. While such dynamics may benefit certain individuals in the short term, they are ultimately degenerative, harming the entire system in the long run.

With the onset of the quantum age, we are beginning to develop quantum consciousness. By applying quantum design principles, we now have the opportunity to consciously create symbiotic information, legal, financial, and socioeconomic systems. The potential impact is substantial: we could move beyond living in debt and avoid long term inflation. We can establish fairer and more equitable ways to engage in society, and in doing so, enhance our ecosystems rather than degrade them.

We can also create and make use of a 'quantum internet that uses a quantum language', which enables interaction across different human and machine contexts and languages.

The FOCAFET Foundation is a non-profit organisation for a networked community that has been researching quantum-based solutions for societal systems for over a decade. To advance this mission, FOCAFET is reorganising its work into four collaborative innovation labs and communities. Upon relaunch, more detailed information, solutions, and opportunities for collaboration will be made available.
